Katrina Kaif was born in Hong Kong on 16th July, 1983 to an Indian Kashmiri father, Mohammed Kaif, and an English mother, Suzanne Turquotte, both of whom are British citizens. Her parents divorced when she was very young. Her mother is an English lawyer and charity worker. Kaif has six sisters and one brother. She was raised in Hawaii and later moved to her mother’s home country, England.
Katrina started her modelling career in Hawaii at the age fourteen. Her first movie was Boom (2003) but it was a flop. She gained moderate success by Sarkar (2005) and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya (2005), Humko Deewana Kar Gaye (2006). Her other movies are Welcome, Partner and Namastey London in 2007, Race and Singh Is Kinng in 2008, New York, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, and De Dana Dan in 2009, these all done very well business on box office.
In 2010 Raajneeti and Tees Maar Khan were released. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan in 2011, Ek Tha Tiger and Jab tak hay jan in 2012, Bombay Talkies, Main Krishna Hoon and Dhoom 3 in 2013. Bang Bang was released in 2014. Many of the above were a big hit on box office making Katrina Kaif one of the best and also highest-paid actresses of bollywood.
