Jennifer Lawrence was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on August 15, 1990. She is an American actress. Lawrence graduated from high school two years early with a 3.9 GPA. She got her big break at 14, when she was discovered while vacationing in New York City with her family. After starting her career with commercials and working on the series, she also appeared in many feature films.
Lawrence gained international fame for playing heroine Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games film series (2012–15), which established her as the highest-grossing action heroine as of 2015.
She won many awards like Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, Academy Award for Best Actress, BAFTA Award and a Golden Globe Award.
Lawrence can also be seen in The Beaver (2011), Like Crazy (2011), House at the End of the Street (2012), and American Hustle (2013). She played the title role, Joy Mangano, in the 2015 David O. Russell film Joy (2015).
